- particularly strong in coverage of western North America
- the collection is also strong in historic taxonomic literature and contains microfiche editions of historically important herbaria and type collections
- the Meckler Collection microfiche includes over 4,500 book titles which form the basic core of historical plant taxonomic literature
- materials in the Herbarium Library are technical reference copies and may not be checked out
- anyone eligible to use the University Libraries in general is also welcome to use the Rocky Mountain Herbarium Library
