| Summary: |
This regional history magazine for northeastern Wyoming and the Black Hills region was subtitled "Your Own Western History Magazine" and was edited and published by Mabel E. Brown in Newcastle, WY. It started out as a monthly, in 1970, it became a bimonthly and average issues increased from 20 to 24 pages. In 1976, it became a quarterly and average issues again increased in size, this time to 28 pages. Health problems and the death of the editor's husband made publication erratic, the last volume took eight years (from 1979-1987) to complete. Bits and Pieces ultimately issued 12 volumes and 95 issues. "Glowing Coals" (letters to the editor) and small items (less than one inch column) are not indexed. A separate index is available.
