Greater Yellowstone Bibliography (GYB)
The Greater Yellowstone Bibliography (GYB) contains over 28,900 bibliographic citations to scholarly, popular, professional, and creative literature about the greater Yellowstone region of Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming. The GYB includes citations to journal, magazine, and newspaper articles; books; book chapters; conference papers; state and federal government documents; theses; maps; CDs and CD-ROMs; sheet music; and promotional brochures and souvenirs. Some references to manuscripts, photographs, and museum artifacts are included, but these are not a major focus for adding to the Bibliography.
After entering a search term in the appropriate search box, click the adjacent Search button. GYB will indicate the number of hits followed by a list of authors and titles, any of which can be clicked to get the full bibliographic record. The best places for locating copies of cited items are the Yellowstone National Park Research Library at Mammoth, WY, the Montana State University Libraries at Bozeman, and the University of Wyoming Libraries at Laramie.
