Use of Sci-Finder Scholar is restricted to UW faculty, staff and students.
UW Libraries, in cooperation with the College of Health Sciences, would like to present SciFinder Scholar, which features important information resources on chemistry and related scientific information.
About SciFinder
SciFinder Scholar provides Web based access to Chemical Abstracts (CA) and the CAS Registry file. Searching capabilities include searching by research subject or topic, author, organization name, by chemical substance(s) or reaction and document identifiers (e.g., CA abstract numbers or patent numbers). Browsing by journal tables of contents is also an option. SciFinder includes information related to a variety of other disciplines besides chemistry including agriculture, biology, engineering, food science, geology, material science, medicine, physics and polymer science.
The University of Wyoming Libraries is restricted to 3 simultaneous users. If you are unable to connect, please try again later. Also, please remember to disconnect from SciFinder when you have finished so it is available for other patrons.
Access
There are two ways to access SciFinder Scholar:
- At designated workstations located in the Science, Coe and Geology libraries.
- Download required software to your personal computer on campus.
- Visit https://secure.uwlib.uwyo.edu/scifinder to download the Windows or Macintosh Client
ATTENTION: As of January 2, 2008, the following versions of SciFinder Scholar will be discontinued:
- 2004.2 Mac OS 9 and Windows
- Mac OS 10.1
