Computer + Print
Library Technology Services
The main computer lab in Coe Library is open 24-hours during the school year. Check the hours schedule for other labs on campus. Computer lab use is limited to UW faculty, staff, and students.
A high-end multimedia production station is located in Coe Library 206. This station allows users to edit and manipulate both photographs and videos. The station also converts VHS videos to a digital format. The lab is not staffed and is limited to use by UW faculty, staff, and students.
A limited number of computers are provided for use by the public to perform library research. These computers allow Internet access to library databases and electronic subscriptions. Public access computers are available at Coe Library, the Library Annex, and the Geology Library.
Student printing is available in computer labs at Coe Library, the Geology Library, and at additional lab locations across campus. Black and white printing is 5 cents per page with increases for double-sided pages. Color printing is available at the Coe Library labs for 25 cents per page. Students may also print wirelessly to any computer lab on campus from their own devices, a university-owned device or a library-owned device. Coe Library has 6 public access computers with printing capability located on Level 2 of the library. The Geology Library has 4 public access computers with printing capability.
Print jobs are 20 cents per page with only black and white printing available. Print jobs are collected and paid for at the Coe Library Help Desk on Level 2 (cash or check only) and the Geology Library Circulation Desk (cash only).
Self-service scanning is available on Level 1 of Coe Library. Documents may be saved in the following manner:
- Email to a valid email address
- Saved to the cloud
- Saved to a USB flash drive
- Saved as an audio file
Additional scanners are available to UW faculty, staff and students in computer labs at Coe Library and the Geology Library.
Microform scanners are available at Coe Library. Documents may be saved to a USB flash drive or printed. Print jobs are 20 cents per page and only black and white printing is available. Print jobs are collected and paid for at the Media Help Desk. Payments must be made in cash.

Self-service copiers are located at Coe Library, Geology Library, and the Library Annex.
Copies are 20 cents per page and must be paid for with a WyoOne or copy card. Copy cards are available for purchase for 75 cents via the WyoOne vending machine located on the Level 1 of Coe Library or through the WyoOne Office in Knight Hall. Vending machine purchases are cash only. Balances from WyoOne and copy cards may be used at other locations across campus.
Laptops & iPads
Laptops and iPads are available for check out at Coe Library to UW faculty, staff and students. Coe Library has:
- 25 laptop computers (10 MacBooks and 15 Dell PCs). Laptops check out until the end of the day and must remain inside the Coe Library building.
- 20 iPad 2s and 20 iPad Airs, which check out for 1 week. Access to a wireless network is required to use iPads off campus.
Please complete an equipment agreement form at the Coe Library Help Desk prior to checking out equipment.
The Learning Resource Center has 19 iPads and 24 laptops available for check out to Lab School students and staff.
