Participants are encouraged to proofread their nomination and verify its historical accuracy prior to submission.
An independent panel of professionals selected for their expertise with museums, history, archives, library or historical societies will review nominations and select the 25 finalists.
The campaign is promoted via social media, news media, community publications, news letters, listservs and blogs.
Cultural heritage associations, museums, libraries, archives and historical societies are encouraged to get the word out to their members and visitors.
Ultimately the 10 honorees will be notified and the selected artifacts will be posted on this website.
Wyoming's 10 Most Significant Artifacts designation does not include award funding.
